Personal loan FAQ

What is a personal loan through Bear Loan?

An unsecured loan of $2,000 to $5,000 with a fixed APR, repaid monthly over 6 to 36 months. No collateral, and the rate stays the same for the whole term.

What can I use it for?

Almost anything personal: consolidating higher-interest debt, medical or dental bills, home repairs, moving, a wedding, or a large planned purchase. Business use is generally excluded.

What APR will I get?

Commonly 9.95% to 35.99% in our lender network. Stronger credit and income land at the low end. The exact APR is on your agreement before you sign.

Is it worth consolidating credit cards with it?

Often, if the loan's APR is lower than your cards' and you stop adding to the cards. One fixed payment with an end date usually beats minimum payments that stretch for years.

How is it different from an installment loan?

Both repay monthly at a fixed APR. Personal loans start at $2,000, run up to 36 months, and lenders apply slightly stricter income and account-history criteria; installment loans start at $500 and run up to 24 months.

Do I need good credit?

No minimum score is required to request offers. Lower scores typically mean a higher APR or a smaller amount.

How long does funding take?

Usually one to two business days after you e-sign, because lenders verify larger amounts more carefully.
